Women's Yoga and Adventure Retreats

Yoga, Adventure, Community and Culture Everyday!

Join me in my gorgeous hometown of Seward, Alaska for a truly unique retreat experience.  Hike, paddle, and play in the wild mountains and waterways with a supportive group of women.  Enjoy daily yoga practice and mindfulness as you delight in our beachfront accommodations.  Together we will dine on local foods and beverages, create with local artists and of course rest and reset.  I hope to curate a truly memorable and inspiring vacation for you.  I want you to discover a new place and maybe some new things about yourself and your practice.

Sample 5 Day Itinerary

Day 1 

You fly into Anchorage and then either take a scenic train or Red Eye Rides down the scenic byway that leads to Seward.  Either way it’s a breathtaking commute.  When you arrive you will be greeted by yours truly and helped to settle into your accommodations. 

 

We will gather for the first evening for some community activities and post travel yoga. After, maybe you go for a beach walk, snuggle up and read or go to bed early after a long day of travel. 

 

Day 2

We gather in the morning for some yoga and meditation to start the day.  After practicing we dine on a nutritious and delicious breakfast with a view of the water.   After breakfast we set out for a hike to the bowl of Mt. Marathon where we enjoy a catered lunch in a stunning alpine meadow.  We return to our beach accommodations and walk down to Miller’s Landing Cafe for a beach side dinner and drinks on their deck.  Our group activities are wrapped up with some mindfulness and community activities before quiet time and bed. 

Day 3 

We start the day with a quick breakfast and coffee before we head out for a morning SUP on Resurrection Bay to Tonsina Point. After a light snack and a change of clothes we practice together in the yoga studio topped off by some Yoga Nidra.  Sandwiches and salad for lunch at the accommodations followed by some personal time.  That evening we will visit a local wine bar and walk the town of Seward for some shopping and exploring.  Finally, we will gather for a group dinner at the Cookery, an award winning local restaurant.  

 

Day 4

Our day starts with a hearty healthy breakfast before heading out to hike the Harding Icefield trail with our catered lunch.  After our hike we will either enjoy a beverage and starters on the sunny deck of the Resurrection Roadhouse or drink coffee and snack on baked goods in the cozy Resurrect Art Coffee House.  We will return to our comfy homebase near the water for an evening of outdoor cooking, local seafood and beach fires.  Our evening will close with some juicy bedtime yoga.  

Day 5 

Our last day begins with a lovely closing yoga session before a day free to adventure or relax as you please. Seward has sooo many options.  I will also be available for paddleboarding or hiking if some want to join.  That evening we will finish off with some community activities and possibly making our own self care products.  Before you tuck in for sleep we will have the pleasure of a sound bath by a local healer.

  • Evening Paddleboard on Bear Lake

  • Pizza and Beer at local brewery

  • Excursions to Hope for Local Music, Hiking and Food

  • Excursion to Cooper Landing for SUP and/or Hiking

  • Cooking classes with local chefs

  • Foraging in local forests

  • Biking around town or to the glacier
